Water leak detection
UK Leak Detection offer the UK’s first and only ‘no-find no-fee’ water leak detection service. We provide water leak detection and insurance assistance with the minimum of upheaval…A water leak outside or on the ground floor can exist for a long time without detection.

Heating leak detection
Loss of boiler pressure or heating not working? If you regularly need to add water to keep boiler or heating pressure up; this is a sign that there is a leak on your central heating system or boiler.

Damp investigation
Damp investigation is an essential part of leak detection. Damp diagnosis is vital as if left untreated can lead to mould growth & wet rot. Often the first sign of a leak is damp or mould growth, but older properties can be naturally damp, particularly in basement areas converted to habitable rooms. Sudden arrival of damp maybe an indication of a leak.

Water Leak Detection
We provide water leak detection and insurance assistance with the minimum of upheaval…
A water leak outside or on the ground floor can exist for a long time without detection.
Water mains and supply pipes can leak freely with no surface evidence or signs of damage; they slowly erode foundations and ultimately cause enormous damage to your home and can even spread to your neighbours’ property.
You might only be aware of a leak after receiving a high water bill or letter from your local water authority informing you of a suspected water leak.
The water authority regularly monitors at night to check for water loss with simple acoustic ‘listening sticks’ or use a monitoring device on your water meter called a ‘LeakFrog’.
UK Leak Detection can find these water leaks for you, we are award winners and are confident enough to say…

Damp Detection

Damp investigation is an essential part of leak detection.
Damp diagnosis is vital as if left untreated can lead to mould growth & wet rot.
Often the first sign of a leak is damp or mould growth, but older properties can be naturally damp, particularly in basement areas converted to habitable rooms.
Sudden arrival of damp maybe an indication of a leak.
UK Leak Detection’s damp investigation uses advanced technologies and our extensive knowledge to find what is the cause and nature of a damp problem.

Incorrect Diagnosis
Often long-standing problems are blamed on ‘ground water’ or ‘rising damp’. In our experience, these are normally well know problems and not something that starts all of a sudden for no reason, particularly in the modern constion of homes.
Main causes of leaks incorrectly identified as damp:
Leaking waste fittings
Poorly maintained or installed tiles
Flat roof leaks
Blocked drains
Leaking water mains
Poorly fitted windows or doors
Poorly installed DPC or tanking

Commercial Leak Detection
The effect a leak can have on day-to-day operations, workforce and even stock damage can make these leaks a real financial challenge to any business.

Commercial Leak Detection
The scale of water loss and associated water consumption cost is often exponentially higher than a domestic water leak.
Many leak detection companies either do not have the equipment, or struggle to grasp the size or the scale of the problem, this can often become an obstacle to commercial leak detection.
UK Leak Detection realise that a leak in the workplace can be financially worse than one in the home
MC Leak Detection
Insurance claims for leaks and water damage
About 95% of leak detection is carried out, as part of an insurance claim for water damage. Depending on the insurance company, we find that dealing with an insurance claim can seem to be worse than the leak!
Whilst we cannot offer formal advice or assistance with a claim directly with the insurer as this is an FCA regulated role, we do have a wealth of first-hand experience in how the average claim proceeds and the experiences of our customers
You are welcome to ask our engineer to look at your policy as part of our leak detection process, the terms used are fairly common and they are pretty familiar with finding the bits you need in the policy documents.
About 95% of leak detection is carried out, as part of an insurance claim for water damage; depending on the insurance company, we find that dealing with an insurance claim can feel worse than the leak itself!
Insurance companies sometimes make errors in dealing with claims, leaving their customers without cover or grossly underquoting works and costs. Therefore we recommend using an independent, FCA registered claims handler to act on your behalf. We have first-hand experience with a number of companies that will deal with insurance claims and undertake restoration works.
We are not linked to these companies but have seen a good performance of this role for our customers as well as some that we would avoid like the plague!
